Dublin Learning City Festival 2026
The Dublin Learning City Festival returned from Wednesday, 22nd to 25th of April 2026, and what a celebration of learning it was!
This year’s theme, To Belong, brought residents together to meet new people, explore fresh ideas, and discover new ways to learn across Dublin. Over four days, the festival created space for connection and curiosity across the city.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on their lifelong learning journey at the Dublin Learning City Festival 2026!
From our full lineup of FREE events, we hope you found something that sparked a new learning adventure.
Dublin’s North Inner City Learning Neighbourhood
Dublin Learning City supports learning in all its forms and its communities. We’re delighted to be supporting the launch of the D10 Learning Neighbourhood as part of our Dublin Learning City Festival 2026.
The D10 Learning Neighbourhood will comprise the areas of Ballyfermot, Sarsfield Road and Cherry Orchard, and alongside Dublin Learning City is additionally supported by UNESCO Learning Cities, Dublin City Council, City of Dublin Education and Training Board, the Liffey Partnership and Sláintecare Healthy Communities.
The D10 Learning Neighbourhood joins the North Inner City Learning Neighbourhood—also supported by Dublin Learning City— in highlighting all the learning opportunities that exist for residents of Dublin through Learning services directory.
Dublin awarded prestigious UNESCO Learning City Award 2021
Investing in human capital is crucial to Dublin’s successful development, and lifelong learning is key to this endeavour. As a learning city, it pursues the principle of ‘learning for work, life and fun’ through wide-ranging initiatives coordinated by six local colleges and institutes together with further partners. The ‘Your Place is Here’ campaign encouraging enrolment in higher education regardless of educational background, age, or individual circumstances, and the Healthy Dublin City project offering six learning programmes to improve citizens’ personal, physical and mental health are just two of the many initiatives available to Dublin’s population of more than 1.2 million.
